A major $300 million expansion at the Gun Lake Casino is one step closer to completion.
Casino and Gun Lake Tribal Council leaders gathered Thursday for a topping out ceremony, a construction tradition to celebrate when the last beam is put into place. Prior to the ceremony, tribal members and GLC employees signed the final beam.
Gun Lake Casino CEO Sal Semola said the ceremony marked the “turning of the next page” in the project.
Crews are adding a 252-room hotel, expected to open next spring. They’re also adding the Wawyé Oasis, a 32,000-square foot glass atrium that will offer three pools, a swim-up bar and a night club.
